Admiralty Notices to Mariners are issued as a weekly booklet by the UK Hydrographic
Office and give details of all corrections to the Admiralty worldwide series of
charts and publications as well as reprints of navigational warnings.These weekly

Chart Correction Tracing
The tracing is simply placed in the appropriate place on the chart to be corrected.The
information to be inserted is usually enclosed by a firm line and arrowed to a small
circle,indicating the exact position of the correction.This position is then marked
on the chart through the tracing by use of a sharp pencil or compass point and the
information transferred to the chart. Full instructions for use are given with each
weekly set or tracings
